It sounds just how you'd expect a musical about Wuthering Heights to sound.
The wild fluctuations in mood are mirrored in the music - darker moments are
etched out by full foreboding orchestral passion while simple fluttering
flutes evoke happier, more fluffy, times;
It's all soaring sopranos and trembling tenors. The music and lyrics are
penned by Bernard J Taylor, with Heathcliff performed by Dave Willetts - now
the phantom in Phantom Of The Opera. And I feel I must reveal that good old
Bonnie Langford pops up as Isabella.
The whole thing is tailor-made for the West End stage, where it is sure to
go down a storm.
