Associates
RUTH
HERBERT worked with Bernard J Taylor for more than 15
years, assisting in the harmonisation and orchestration of a number of
works, most notably Wuthering Heights. She has also assisted in the
harmonisation of "Midnight Garden", 12 poems set to
music, and with four of the ten pieces comprising Passion's
Progress. Ruth studied at the Royal Academy of Music on a
scholarship and won various prizes. She gained a first class honours
degree and an M.A. in Performance Practice. She is an accomplished
pianist and has given many recitals. She was until recently a lecturer
at Dartington College of Performing Arts. |
GARETH
PRICE was the principal orchestrator for the recording of
"Nosferatu" and acted as musical director for the UK
professional premiere of the show. He has also done some of the
orchestrations for "Pride and Prejudice" and "Wuthering
Heights" and the pit orchestrations for all
of Bernard J Taylor's musicals as well as a new cantata. Gareth also did
the orchestration for the symphonic works Millennium
Suite and Passion's Progress and
has had some of his own compositions internationally performed. |
MARTIN
SMITH has engineered and co-produced all the recordings of Bernard
J Taylor's works except Wuthering Heights, and has contributed
instrumental lines and drum patterns to a number of tracks on these
recordings. Martin has worked as a producer with most of the major
record companies and played bass guitar with the legendary Electric
Light Orchestra until they were disbanded. He has written jingles and
incidental music for a wide range of broadcast media, worked on several
film scores, and has released his own solo guitar album entitled
"Bitter Sun After Dark". |

NIC RAINE did the arrangements for
Bernard Taylor's very first musical, "Neighbours and Lovers",
which was staged at the Oast Theatre, Tonbridge, in 1987. He
also did the orchestrations for the 1991 recording of "Wuthering Heights".
Nic has worked with a number of top film composers including John Barry
(for whom he orchestrated two James Bond films), Maurice Jarre (for whom
he did much of the orchestration for "A Passage to India" which
won the Best Music Oscar) and Carl Davis, for whom he has done numerous
orchestrations for film, stage and television. |
JULIA JOCHIM
has translated Bernard J Taylor's stage play, Ghosts In The Afternoon,
into the German language and has translated his musicals, Pride and Prejudice

ERICK
MERINO
has translated two of Bernard J.
Taylor's musicals into Spanish: 1998 "Nosferatu - el vampiro" and 2003
"ˇLibertad!" He
was born in Mexico City in 1971. He has directed and performed in several
theatrical productions. His work in the arts has been presented in Japan,
Canada, Mexico, Chile, Venezuela, the United Kingdom, Finland, and the United
States. His repertoire includes opera, operetta, musicals, dramas, comedies,
magic spectacles, and performance art. He has professionally translated several
plays and musicals into Spanish. The National Press Circle of Mexico has awarded
him with two Palmas de Oro and two Sol de Oro for his work in the arts. He is
presently the president of Teatro de Papel and Carpa Geodésica, and director of
